laters, 2009
2009 is coming to an end.
Thinking back to it, some parts seem to have flown by. A lot of changes and new experiences this year. Other parts of it seem to have taken their time, making this year feel like forever.
March marked the beginning of my first of three years at Uni. It seems like just yesterday I was wandering aimlessly around Magill with a map of the campus, struggling to find my class.
April I hit MELBOURNE!
July, don't ask me what I did with my one-month of holidays. I have no idea.
September zoomed past. I worked at the Adelaide Show for the better part of the 9 days, earned $400 then jetted off to Sydney just days later and blew all my savings.
November .. assignments, exams, blah blah.
And now I feel as if I've wasted my December.
Anyways, February 2010 is looking good! Four days in Sydney (LOVELOVE!) and six in Melbourne. Awesome way to begin 2010, I should stay more focused with my studies.
Oh, and goals for the year:
- Maintain my 5 GPA or higher and aim for C grades (credits)
- Stop skipping my uni classes. In 2010, I WILL make an effort to go the 1.5 hours to Magill.
- Maybe take up piano again? Not with lessons or anything, just casually practicing a few times a week. No joke, until yesterday I hadn't touched a piano since my year 12 moderation .. that scarred me hard.
- LEARN TO SAVE MY MONEY! At this rate, I'll never move to Sydney ..
- Perhaps another trip when I receive my tax back? IF so, something a bit more out-of-the-ordinary than Sydney/Melbourne. I'll try and go to the Philippines. Or if not, save for the boyfriend's 21st present .. whatever that may be.
Those seem pretty simple to me, hopefully I can remember them, haha. But it's in WRITING so .. yeah. Oh, and maintain this blog. I used to blog like crazy when I was 12/13, now I'm just not motivated. It's a good way to keep track of thoughts and events.
I had my fortune told yesterday in the city. It was only a short-term prediction, 6 weeks. I was the only one out of the four of us that got the 'relationship' card (probably because I'm the only one in the relationship) and had something about finally being able to commit and the relationship stabilizing. Which is good, because I can say that 2009 hasn't been the easiest. Apparently I will find a balance in life and be happy with the direction that my work and studies take me. Overall I was left with a pretty positive outlook of my near future :)
Anyways .. partied last night, perhaps going out tonight, tomorrow's New Year's Eve. Short term looking good? Check.
Maybe photos in next blog. Toodles.
